BRIEF BIO
Ian Ira Rousso is a New York-born, LA-based stand-up comedian who has been building his name on stages across the country since the early 2010's. Diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder in 1999, Ian brings a self-aware, absurdist point of view to the stage that is equal parts sharp and genuinely funny, often touching on the social complexities of navigating a city and industry with a brain that processes things differently.
His recently relaunched podcast, “The Ian Ira Rousso Show,” offers listeners an entertaining mix of humor and insightful commentary on contemporary issues. Whether through live performances or digital media, Ian’s comedy invites audiences to laugh while contemplating life’s quirks.
Ian is a candid, prepared, and genuinely engaging guest. A natural storyteller with witty observations about every-day life. He can speak with real specificity about building a creative career as a neurodivergent artist, the craft and economics of self-producing comedy, and what resilience actually looks like in a city that does not hand anyone anything.
